The season got underway today as the Lions defeated the Elephants 6-1. Chin-Hui Tsao got the start for the Elephants and earned the loss. Tsao tossed 4.1 innings, allowing 4 runs (2 earned) on 5 hits while K'ing 7 and walking 2. He tossed 79 pitches and was clocked at a high of 92-94 mph. Approximately 500 people turned out for Tsao's minor league CPBL debut.
