Home Sweet Home....

Home at last........anyways, a recap of recent major events:


They didn't win it all (though still the international champs), but they came oh so close: a 6-3 loss to Chula Vista, CA in the title game.

5-2 win vs. Curacao (international semi)
9-4 win vs. Mexico (international final)

Congrats to the kids for an outstanding showing on the world stage! We, the fans are proud of how well you performed.

Junior NT:
The boys earned a silver in the Asian "AAA" Championships, losing to the host country South Korea in the championship game 9-2. Cubs signee Yao-Lin Wang started the game for the junior NT and allowed 1 run over 1+ innings - he was handcuffed as he was not permitted to throw any breaking pitches. The junior NT did manage to defeat Japan twice (4-0 and 5-0) prior to their rematch with South Korea. Three junior NT players were selected to the all-star team: C Shih-Hao Liu, SS Chien-Ting Feng, OF Tien-Wei Wang.

Youth NT:
Despite a roller-coaster ride in the World Youth Championships, the youth NT did manage to earn 5th place and bragging rights as Asia's top dog (defeating both South Korea and Japan). IF Lee-Jen Chu earned all-star recognition in the tourney.

HC Kuo continues his impressive run after missing nearly 3 months earlier in the season.

FT Ni with a 2.74 ERA on the year.

hi! Taiwan is my bet, i watched the game and its sad that they lost but still taiwan did a good job, i really like the 2 pitchers, I forgot the name, but they are good. hope to see them in MLB!

Taiwan was awesome throughout the LLWS - unfortunately, the defense was not there yesterday.

I wish there was some way to let them know how proud everyone is of them!
