*The Nationals have inked CMW to a one year deal worth $2 million with incentives pushing the package up to another $3 million.

Personally, I'm stoked for Wang - it'll be good to see him get a fresh start elsewhere. It's also great for this blog because it means it's time to update my banner and get rid of CMW in his GD Yankees uniform. If anyone has some time, I could definitely use a retooled banner for the blog picturing CMW in a non-Yankees uni (or even of the big 4: Wang, Kuo, Ni, and WY Chen). Please send any ideas/artwork you may have as my photoshop skills are nonexistent.
*Speaking of the Yankees, M. Newman commented on his latest Taiwanese acquisition: Fu-Lin Kuo.
*Ray Chang, the Red Sox farmhand, is still scheduled to visit Taiwan around the 22nd of this month.

i hope this doesn't mean nationals games thrice daily on the tube
F*** Ray Chang. One, because he is an American born athelete playing for China in the WBC. Last thing Asian-Americans need is for more people to reinforce the perpetual foreigner stereotype.
Two, because he made key plays that allowed Team China to beat Team Taiwan.
Lol Nathan...if Wang's healthy and starting, it'll happen.
Lazy, I understand where you're coming from but I think it's totally f*cked up that a dude like Mike Piazza can play for Italy in the WBC without much controversy, while Chang catches flack for doing the same thing. He would've never had a shot at playing for the US and he definitely got his name out there while starring for the Chinese WBC team.
I don't understand the hating on Ray Chang, all he did was doing what he loved to do and being quite good at it. i.e. playing baseball
Ray Chang is FAR better then ANY Taiwan born IF we have. NPB, MiLB and of course Crap Pathetic Bullcrap League. At least he does not take $ to throw games.
Wang's coming to DC baby! Opening day party at my place!
