On the Road to Gold? (Pics from Yesterday's SK Game)

Well, as most of you know by now, Taiwan defeated South Korea 4-2 (see last post for scoring recap) yesterday to help position itself towards the top seed in the preliminary phase. The biggest contributors to the NT were it's overseas stars: Kuo, Chen, and to a lesser extent Chiang.

Reliever - Chiang

so, as long as we dont lose to the rest of the teams... we win the gold right? or do we have to face South Korea again? did Chin Lung Hu really have 2 errors?

Correct - if we win the rest of the games, we're GOLDEN! Our last game is against Japan on the final day of competition.

Didn't watch the game, but another poster said that the errors should have been credited to 2B - Yung-Chi Chen.

A good win for the team. However, the team needs better defense. I know the wind was tricky during the game but there were two cathable balls in the OF. Also, we relied too much on the longball and were unable to put together a rally with people on base. How many times do I have to watch someone hitting into a doubleplay with men on 1st and 2nd with one out? I'm hoping it's just the first game jitters. Go get them!
