Coach K Resigns....

The NT is in search of a new HC after Tai-Yuan Kuo's recent resignation. In light of the NT's struggles at the WC and the OQ's as well as some questionable coaching calls on the field, this move was a step in the right direction for the NT.

No one can question the legacy of Kuo's tremendous playing career in Japan, however Kuo's success as a player did not translate well in his transition to being a head coach. Even in 2005 when he coached the Macoto Cobras to the CPBL championship series, he drew some criticism when his team got swept by the Sinon Bulls. He retired from coaching shortly afterwards.

As the NT coach this year, Kuo also failed to reign in his players. Several NT members were publicly seen out drinking the night before competitions. Coach Kuo was also rumored to have been present with the players during their nights out about town. A lack of leadership definitely undermined the ability of the NT to perform up to its true potential.
