Casualties to the DL: two of the top pitchers from Taiwan - En-Yu Lin & Wei-Lun Pan........you can now also add Chin-Feng Chen to that list. Due to a slow-healing back injury, CFC has withdrawn himself from the NT. Who'll replace Chen's big bat in the lineup? Coach Hong will probably have to choose between a few CPBL veterans: KC Kao, CM Peng, or TS Chang to bat 4th in the lineup. Getting to Beijing this summer just got a whole lot tougher.

Hate to say this, but Taiwan's chance of going to Beijing wasn't going to be easy with those Lin/Pan/Chen playing anyways.
Korea, Australia, Canada, Mexico, or even Holland have better team. Taiwan is likely finish 5th-6th.
My mistake, Holland is not in OQ, but I do hope somehow Taiwan can find a way to finish 3rd.
It'll be an uphill battle for sure, but I'd rather have those 3 guys playing for the NT than not at all.
The problem is the CTBA keep using the best players for tournament that don't much exposures.
Look at Japan/Korea sending their industrial/B team to I-Cup, World Cup, Asian Games etc and call upon their best for the real tournament like WBC, OQ, Olympics etc.
Chin-Lung Hu struggle last year because his vision and admitted being fatigued of playing all year long, CTBA needs to start using college players for smaller tournament so the better player can be rested.
