NT:

Coach Yeh

Chih-Hsien Yeh has been tabbed as the NT's HC for the next few years. He'll lead the way in next year's WBC, the World Cup in Sept. '09, and the 2010 Asian Games.

Coach Yeh was the 2007 TSEA Coach of the Year - leading the NT to Gold at the '06 Asian Games in Doha, and 3rd at the Intercontinental Cup in '06.

He was also the coach of the amateur NT that toured So Cal in '05 and almost the same roster that played in the '05 World Cup.

Like the Bulls, the La new Bears are also considering withholding their players from participating in the '09 WBC. This would have a devastating effect on the NT - Can you imagine slugger Chin-Feng Chen, IF Chih-Sheng Lin, RHP Chih-Chia Chang, RHP Wen-Hsiung Hsu, C Feng-Min Chen, & IF Chih-Wei Shih not being on the team?!

NPB:
The Tigers lost 3-1. WC Lin was 0-1. Box

Update on Kuo

hope the bears let the players participate in the wbc.

losing someone as clutch as chang chien ming is pretty bad already.

Out of the players you listed from La New, I can only see Lin Che Shen's absence hurting the National team significantly. Obviously losing both Lin and Chang Chien Ming from Sinon would be pretty tough on them tho.

Thanks for the updates.

I'd argue that a healthy CFC would need to be in the NT's lineup as the DH. He's still the best domestic offensive player in the CPBL (when healthy). No one else can lay claim to owning HR's against Koji Uehara, Yu Darvish, or Chan Ho Park in their prime.

gosh, I hope Kuo's elbow is doing fine. he is having such a great season this year. But, whats up with all the CPBL teams not allowing their players to play in the the WBC?
