With the team taking on the Netherlands today (the 13th), news has it that veteran CPBL slugger Tai-Shan Chang has tested positive for a banned substance - he is not in the starting lineup for today's game.
Lefty Wei-Yin Chen is starting as the game is scoreless in the 2nd.

Playing catchup - Taiwan lost for the second year in a row in the championship game of the Palomino League World Series - this time to Houston, Texas 14-3. More on the Kyle Chapman squad from Texas.

In the Bronco League World Series, the team is playing in the championship game against Panama City, Panama.
The Pony League reps have today off after starting the tourney off 2-0. Last year's two LLWS stars, Chao-Ming Wang and Chi-Yuan Chen are on this squad.

Taiwan blanked Netherlands 5-0 in their Olympics opener. Chen Wei-Yin pitched 7 strong innings giving up 3 hits while punching out 7. Let's hope the victory will provide a huge momentum going into tomorrow's match up against Japan! Jia-Yo!
Tarzan doesnt seem like the type of guy that would use steroids or anything. Maybe it was medication or something like last time when Kuo came up positive as well but it turned out it was the medicine he was taking. BTY, Kuo picked up the W today and is now 4-2 with an ERA of 1.70. sucks for our Palomino team. I hate losing in the championships. Please keep us updated on the Bronco Team in the championships against Panama.
Dodgers won 4-3. Kuo picked up the win after going 2 hitless innings that went along with 2 K's. His ERA is now lowered to 1.70 with and has a a W-L record of 4-2. Glad to see Kuo having a strong season!
