Wang had some tough breaks in the fifth inning where he was recorded 2 of his 3 earned runs. The first base ump blew a call on a close play where the runner was suppose to be out. And the triple that scored 2 runs was due to a missed dive by the center fielder (Melky Cabrera) and the ball rolled all the way to the wall. In addition, the Yanks offense was literally non-existent thru the first 4 innings (0 hits) before Cano homered in the bottom of 5th.

To be fair, Wang pitched well last night. And his game stats really should've been no more than 2 earned runs thru 5 innings. For now, it looks like he will get another start next Tuesday in Atlanta. Unfortunately for Wang, he needs a few consecutive quality starts from here to remain on the starting rotation. Lets hope that he can keep it up and continue to show signs of improvements.
