Wang was simply dominant for the majority of the game versus the Mets. Wang chalked up 10 K's - a career high, mixing in his ever-improving slider and change-up to complement his sinker against the NY Mets - who sported the top hitting lineup in the National League. Before hitting a pitch count of 113 pitches, Wang lasted 8.2 innings - allowing 2 runs on 6 hits - to go along with 10 K's and 1 walk. Despite fatiguing in the 9th inning (Wang was leaving pitches up in the zone) - he was still hitting 95 mph on the gun. Wang is now 6-1 in his last 7 starts (7-4 overall) and lowers his ERA on the season to 3.33. - Simply a tremendous showing from the young man.
