R - Checking out the box score for the GCL game between the Red Sox and Twins had me seeing double - Che-Hsuan Lin and Wang-Wei Lin faced off against each other today - how appropriate, the Chinese character for Lin:
is made up of twin radicals & Wang-Wei's twin brother is Red Sox righty Wang-Yi Lin.
The Lin Twins: W.Y.(L) & W.W.(R)R - Po-Yu Lin was very impressive in his debut for the Bristol Sox. Lin threw a 6 inning shutout earning his first career pro win, allowing only 4 hits to go along with 7 K's and 0 walks. Bristol won 8-0. Box
A - Greenville lost 8-5. Chiang was 0-3 with a walk and 2 K's. Box
A - Wisky is currently losing 3-0 in the 8th inning. Lo is 2-2 with a double, a walk, and his 16th SB of the season. Box
A+ - Tseng picked up loss #6 on the season as Kinston lost 5-2. Tseng lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 4 runs (3 earned) on 6 hits to go along with 2 K's and 4 walks. Box
AA - Hu's heating up! - Jacksonville won game 1 of a doubleheader 5-4. Hu was 1-1 with 2 walks and hit his 4th HR of the season - a solo shot. He also had his 11th SB of the season. Box
In game 2, Hu hit his 5th HR of the season and is currently 2-3 as his team is up 4-0 in the 7th inning. Box
MLB:
-Wang's start vs. the SF Giants will be televised by Fox at 12:30 PM Pacific.
-Kuo's start vs. Tampa Bay will be on local TV - Fox Prime West at 10:30 AM Pacific.
CPBL:
Elephants 6 - Bears 4: Game MVP honors went to Chia-Chia as he hit his league-leading 16th HR of the season - he was 3-4 at the plate. CFC was 0-1 as a PH.
Lions 3 - Bulls 2: Tilson Brito hit HR #16 to tie Chia-Chia for the league lead in that dept and helped pitcher Chih-Chiang Chang win his first game of the season. Chang threw 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits - he was voted game MVP. For the Bulls, Tarzan was 2-4 with 2 doubles.
