Heng-Hsiao Kuo threw a complete game win for his HS (Fukuoka Daiichi) yesterday. In the 9 inning affair, Kuo allowed 1 run on 5 hits and K'd 18 batters!! Although the lefty has been clocked close to 93 mph in the past, he was throwing around 86-87 mph in the game.*edited* Kuo, mentioned in an earlier post, is expected to be a high draft pick in the NPB HS draft.


NPB:

The Tigers beat the Giants 4-0. WC Lin was 1-4 with a double. The game marked the return of CM Chiang to the parent club. Chiang faced Lin in the 6th inning, inducing a ground out. Chiang pitched 1.1 scoreless innings for the Giants. Box

The Fighters won 3-0. CS Yang started at SS and was 2-3 with a RBI. Box


US MINORS:
R - The Red Sox lost to the Twins 15-4. CH Lin was 0-4 while CH Huang was 1-3 with a double and a walk. Box

R - The Cubs lost 10-4. Wen was 0-2 with 3 walks. Box

A - Greenville lost 11-1. Chiang was 0-3 and committed his 7th error of the season. Box

A - Wisky is up 3-2 in the 7th. KH Lo is currently 1-2 with a double, a RBI, 2 walks, and his 19th SB of the season. Box

AA - Tulsa is up 5-3 in the 7th inning. CL Lo is in line to get the win if his team holds on to the lead. Lo pitched 6 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 7 hits - to go along with 6 K's. Lo was also 1-3 at the plate. Box

AAA - Vegas is down 2-1 in the first inning. Hu is currently 1-1. Box

CPBL:
Bears 8 - Cobras 2: Chih-Sheng Lin (game MVP) had a big night at the plate, going 2-4 with a double, triple, and 2 RBI's. CFC was 1-4. For the Cobras, slugger CH Hsieh was 1-4, while C Ko-Fan Chen hit his 2nd HR of the season.

Elephants 8 - Whales 7: Game MVP Cheng-Wei Huang was 2-6 with a double and a RBI to help his team win in extra innings. Chia-Chia was 1-4. For the Whales, Chun-Chiang Kao was 4-6 with a triple and 2 RBI's.
