Tuesday Happenings....

MLB:
If things hold up the way they are now (Yankees up 9-4 in the 8th inning), Wang will pick up his 11th win of the season. CM Wang didn't have his best stuff tonight, but his offense did come through for him against the KC Royals. In the 6 innings Wang pitched, he allowed 4 runs on 7 hits - to go along with 3 K's and 2 walks. The stat of the night that stood out was the fact that Wang actually allowed more fly balls (8) than ground balls (6). Box

US MINORS:
A - Greenville won 9-7. CH Chiang was 1-4 with a double, a walk, and a RBI. Box

A - Wisky is losing 7-3 in the 9th inning. KH Lo is currently 0-3 but has his 21st SB of the season. Box

NPB:
WC Lin was 0-5 as the Hanshin Tigers won 8-5 today. Box

The Giants lost 8-4. CM Chiang pitched one inning of relief and allowed 3 hits - one of them a 3-run HR. Box

CPBL:
Whales 14 - Bears 2: Former #2 draft pick Che-Yi Su picked up his first win of the year for the Whales, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits over 5 innings - he also had 6 K's and 2 walks allowed. The losing pitcher was Gary Rath, who was seeking his 11th victory. Whales SS Chang-Ming Cheng was the game MVP after hitting his 3rd HR of the season and going 3-4 at the plate with a double and a RBI. Teammate Carlos Villalobos was 3-4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI's. For the Bears, both CFC and CS Lin were 1-3 at the plate.

Lions 4 - Bulls 2: Sen Yang earned game MVP honors after driving in all 4 runs for the Lions - he was 2-4 with a double and hit his 5th HR of the year. Teammate Tilson Brito was 2-3. Pete Munro picked up his 9th win of the year with a complete game effort - allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 8 hits - he also had 6 K's and no walks. Also throwing a complete game for the Bulls was hard-luck loser Iba Tomokazu. Tarzan was 2-4 for the Bulls.

Yeah, Wang didn't have his best stuff last night but the Yankee offense has been hot, scoring like my softball team. In his last start, Wang pitched well but didn't get enough run support on the loss so I guess things evened out.
