Ni Not Taking Chances....

Chinatrust Whales ace and NT regular Fu-Te Ni, was extended an invitation by the Seattle Mariners to come to spring training. Ni declined, stating that he wanted a guaranteed major league contract. Ni, widely regarded as perhaps the most talented home-grown lefty in the CPBL (led the league in K's this year) is no spring chicken; he turns 26 later this month.

so is the problem that he wanted a guaranteed contract, or he wanted an offer from an actual major league team? "i've got someone on the other line about some white walls."
