Friday Tidbits...

US MINORS:
R - The Red Sox won 6-3. CH Lin was 0-4 with 3 K's while CH Huang was 0-3 with 2 K's. Box

A - Greenville won 7-2. Chiang was 1-2 with 2 walks. Box

AAA - Vegas is scheduled to play Tuscon.



NPB:
The Tigers lost 8-1. WC Lin was 2-4. Box

Seibu won 6-5. MC Hsu pitched 1 inning in relief - allowing 1 run on 3 hits. Box



CPBL:
Bulls 2 - Whales 0:
The Bulls broke a scorless tie in the top of the 9th inning, thanks to the heroics of Kuo-Long Hsu (2-4) - he had a double that drove in 2. The SP's from both sides earned ND's despite their outstanding efforts - Iba Tomokazu threw 7 shutout innings and allowed only 3 hits, while Lorenzo Barcelo gave up 4 hits over 7 scoreless innings. Tarzan was 1-3.

man! I hope our LLWS boys got the chance to go see Wang pitch today cause he pitched a pretty good one! He pitched well into the game with 100 plus pithce and 8 innings. He also had 6 Ks, and gave up 2 runs(only 1 earned). This is the type of game I've come to expect out of Wang--especially after those few rough outings. he had a groundout/flyout ratio of 12-6. A few more games like this and he'll be back in top form. Gosh, I really hope our LLWS boys got to go see him

The game was in Detroit so I doubt it. Maybe they can visit him at Yankee Stadium after the LLWS ends tomorrow. Wang should greet them in person, because they voted unanimously for him as their "favorite MLB player".

Wang seems like a nice enough guy to do that...but, I wonder if the Yankees would give him time off to meet them. I have no doubt that Wang would do it if it was his choice
