CPBL:
Elephants 8 - Whales 0: Elephants starter Danny Core threw a CG, 3-hit shutout in an impressive debut for the recent aquisition (4-4-08). Core, who was a minor league teammate of CH Cheng and PH Keng in 2005 (with the Lansing Lugnuts in the Blue Jays organization), K'd 5 and walked 1. He was the obvious choice for game MVP.
Offensively for the Elephants: 1B Chia-Chia was 1-2 with 2 walks/ DH CYC was 1-4/ LF Kuan-Jen Chen was 1-3 with 3 RBI's/ 3B Jui-Chen Chen was 1-3 with a double and a RBI/ RF Huai-Shan Chen was 1-4 with 2 RBI's/ reserve CF Cheng-Wei Huang was 1-1 with 2 RBI's.
Catcher Hsin-Min Wang was the only Whale to muster any kind of offense against Core. He was 2-3. 3B Carlos Villalobos was 0-3.

Bulls 10 - T-Rex 8 (10): Despite accumulating 38 hits between the two teams, there were none of the long ball variety. Bulls starter Wen-Ping Yu pitched well enough to win, but instead earned a ND. He allowed 4 runs (2 earned) on 9 hits over 6 IP (2K's, 0BB's).
