Bears 5 - Elephants 5 (12): We have our first regular season tie of the CPBL season. Despite the ND, Bears SP Wen-Hsiung Hsu earned game MVP honors. Hsu allowed 3 runs on 7 hits over 6.1 IP - he also had 3 K's and 2 BB's allowed.
On offense for the Bears: CF Long-Yi Huang was 3-6 with 2 doubles/ SS Chih-Sheng Lin was 3-5 with a double and 2 RBI's/ DH CFC in his first CG action, was 2-5 with a double/ LF Hao-Chu Tseng was 1-5 with 2 RBI's/ IF Chih-Wei Shih was 1-4 with a RBI.
For the Elephants: CF Cheng-Wei Huang was 2-5 with a RBI/ DH CYC was 3-6 with a double and a RBI/ OF-IF Chia-Chia was 1-4 with a RBI/ 3B Jui-Chen Chen was 2-3 with a double and a RBI.
During the game, Bears star Chih-Sheng Lin went ballistic as he flew out of the dugout, knocked the 1B umpire down after teammate Chih-Wei Shih was called out on a close play at first. Read more and see it here. The repercussions for his action will be known soon.


T-Rex 13 - Whales 12: Rookie Chun-Nan Lai picked up the W in the shootout despite allowing 8 runs in 5 innings. Lai, who reportedly turned down a 6 figure offer from the Atlanta Braves at one time, allowed 7 hits - had 5 K's and 3 BB's in picking up his second victory of the year. Backing up Lai on offense for the T-Rex were: SS Ming-Jen Kuo who was 3-5 with a double and 2 RBI's/ DH Hung-Yuan Lin was 3-5 with a double and a RBI/ 1B CH Hsieh hit his 1st HR of the year and was 2-4 with 2 RBI's/ 3B Napoleon Calzado was 2-4 with a double and 2 RBI's/ game MVP LF Chuan-Chia Wang was 2-2 with a double, 2 walks, and 3 RBI's/ CF Yuan-Chia Chen hit HR #1 and was 1-3 with 2 RBI's.
Whales 3B Carlos Villalobos did all he could to help his team, but his 2 HR's in the game were not enough. CV was 2-4 with 4 RBI's. Other Whales in the lineup: RF Chun-Chiang Kao was 2-2 with a triple, 2 walks, and a RBI/ 1B-LF Chun-Hsiung Lu was 2-5 with a grand slam HR and 6 RBI's/ C Hsin-Min Wang was 2-5 with a double/ and reserve 1B Chia-Hsien Tseng was 1-3 with a RBI.


NPB:
