9/6/06 News....

Minors:
Lansing won 4-3 in the opening game of it's first round playoff series in the MWL. Cheng started for Lansing, earning a no-decision. Cheng lasted 5 innings, giving up 8 hits, 3 runs - (2 via a HR), to go along with 2 walks and 6 K's. Box

Everett won 5-0. Wu was 1-3 with a walk and 2 runs scored. Box

Chiang continues to tear the cover off the ball at Lowell. Lowell won 5-3 today. Chiang raised his batting average to .323 with a 2-4 night that included a triple, a walk, and a run scored. Box

Amateur:
Taiwan won 9-0 against the Philippines yesterday in the Asian AA Championships. However, it lost 3-1 to South Korea today. The only bright spot for Taiwan was the solo HR cranked out by 2-way player Yi-Shan Deng. Deng assisted Sheng-Chih Yang in pitching a shutout against the Philippines on Tuesday. Taiwan will now be forced to face Japan, #1 in their respective group, in one semifinal on Friday.

I hope we can beat Japan in the semis. itd be nice if we won this tourny. is there a site for this tourny's results anywhere ?

Not that I know of...The scores are being reported on Chinese-language websites.
