Chiang Wins #2!


Japan:
C.M. Chiang improved to 2-0 on the season for Yomiuri as he pitched a complete game shutout against the Chunichi Dragons. Chiang gave up 5 hits - on 5 K's and 0 walks. Quite a start to the young man's NPB career!! Box


Majors:
Kuo pitched 2 innings in relief versus the Colorado Rockies today. In his first inning of work (in the 7th inning), Kuo gave up back to back doubles, plating one runner. He then induced two fly outs before K'ing the last batter. In the 8th inning, Kuo walked the first 2 batters, before K'ing the next 3 batters - Ryan Spilborghs, Kaz Matsui, and Todd Helton. Man, talk about a Jekyll and Hyde performance! LA lost 12-5. Box


Minors:
AA - Jacksonville won 8-1. Hu was 0-5. Box

AA - San Antonio lost 7-0. Chen was 0-3. Box

A - Lansing lost 8-0. Keng pitched a perfect 6th inning. Box

A - Lowell won 9-6. Chiang was 2-5 with a triple, a RBI, and a run scored. Chiang also committed his first error for Lowell. Box

More news on the Asian "AA" baseball championships.

great for chiang! not so great for kuo.. hopefully kuo will do well next time-hes definitley capable. How is our AA team doing so far?

seems that Wang got a no decision tonight. lets hope he wins the next game. i really want to see him crack 19!

I hope Wang cracks 19 too, and set a new record for Asian pitchers.
And I hope he either develop more pitches or work on his fastball and changeups to become a better SO pitcher.

Although it would've been nice to get some early run support, a ND is better than a loss. Wang will bounce back next time out!
