C.M. Chiang improved to 2-0 on the season for Yomiuri as he pitched a complete game shutout against the Chunichi Dragons. Chiang gave up 5 hits - on 5 K's and 0 walks. Quite a start to the young man's NPB career!! Box

Kuo pitched 2 innings in relief versus the Colorado Rockies today. In his first inning of work (in the 7th inning), Kuo gave up back to back doubles, plating one runner. He then induced two fly outs before K'ing the last batter. In the 8th inning, Kuo walked the first 2 batters, before K'ing the next 3 batters - Ryan Spilborghs, Kaz Matsui, and Todd Helton. I hope Wang cracks 19 too, and set a new record for Asian pitchers.
And I hope he either develop more pitches or work on his fastball and changeups to become a better SO pitcher.

Although it would've been nice to get some early run support, a ND is better than a loss. Wang will bounce back next time out!
