CPBL:
Bears 1 - Whales 0:
Bears SP Andrew Lorraine picked up game MVP honors after earning the W in a tightly contested game. Lorraine threw a shutout for 7.2 innings, giving up 8 hits to go along with 4 K's and 2 walks allowed. Steve Watkins was the tough-luck loser for the Whales despite giving up only 1 unearned run over 6 IP (10 H, 5 K's, 3 BB's). For the Bears, SS Chih-Sheng Lin was 3-3/2B Tsung-Yu Tsai was 2-5/and C Feng-Min Chen was 2-4. Returning from an injury and making his 2nd appearance of the season was CFC. He was 0-1 with a walk and a K.
Collecting multiple hits for the Whales were: CF Chun-Chiang Kao who was 2-3 & LF Chun-Hsiung Lu who was 2-3. 1B Carlos Villalobos was 0-4.



Lions 5 - T-Rex 2 (5): Lions starter Brian Adams picked up his 2nd victory of the year in the rain-shortened game. BA allowed 2 runs on 8 hits over 5 IP (5 K's, 1 BB). Backing Adams was 3B Tilson Brito who hit his first HR of the season. The game MVP was 1-1 with 2 walks and a RBI. Other Lions in the lineup: 1B KC Kao was 1-2/ RF Fu-Hao Liu was 1-3 with a RBI/ DH Lien-Hung Chen was 1-2 with a RBI/ 2B Sen Yang was 0-1 with a walk and a RBI.
For the T-Rex: SS Ming-Jen Kuo was 3-3 with a double/ 3B Napoleon Calzado was 1-2 with a RBI/ LF Chuan-Chia Wang was 2-2 with a RBI.

MLB:
Kuo was the surprise starter in today's series finale against the Giants. Kuo threw 3 scoreless innings, allowing only 1 hit to go along with 3 K's and 3 BB's. The game is tied at 1-1 after a rain delay in the 5th inning.*Updated

Wei-Yin Chen picked up the W for the Chunichi Dragons after throwing 5.2 scoreless innings (1 H, 1K, 2 BB's) against the powerful lineup of the Yomiuri Giants. Box Recap

The season kicks off tomorrow. CH Chiang cracked a 3-run HR yesterday in Lancaster's final exhibition game. *Updated

Kuo started for the Dodgers today against the Giants, He's pitched 3 scoreless innings thus far with 3K but he's also given up 3 walks already.
