After rain delayed everthing by a day, things returned to normal as last year's two finalists earned their way back to the championship game. Taipei County (Ban-Chiao) will seek to avenge last year's loss to Taoyuan County.
Taipei County defeated Tainan City 7-0, led by Wei-Chen Wang's 3 hits (3-5, including a triple and 2 RBI's) in one semifinal.
Taoyuan County squeaked by Taitung County 4-2 in the other semifinal. The gold and bronze medal games will take place tomorrow.

Too bad for Tsao. What a waste of talent. Tsao is a great patriot.

Damn, I watched the game and was kind of surprised when Wang got injured. I first noticed that he was running weirdly to home plate. I figured that he probably was cramping up or twisted something. Anyway, he did walk off the field with a little help so hopefully its nothing that serious. I guess he will probably miss his next start but I dont think it should keep him out long. Keep a close watch for the MRI results soon. Also, I read the article on Penny and it didnt say anything on Kuo getting another chance at starting(unless I missed it). Is it in the article somewhere? Anyway, Park Chan Ho just gave up 5 runs in 1 inning today and took the loss so if the choice is betwen Kuo and Park, Kuo has a better chance of getting the nod at starter right now. I am not sure how he will do though. Kuo doesnt seem to be able to pitch deep into games. I would usually set his bar at around 5 innings.
