Nan-Ying Staying Alive......

HS Wood Bat Tourney:

KH Chang

-Nan-Ying forced a decisive game 3 tomorrow by beating Ku-Pao 1-0 behind a dominating performance from SP Keng-Hao Chang. Chang shutout Ku-Pao over 9 innings, allowing only 5 hits, while K'ing 11 and walking 4. Ku-Pao ace Kuan-Yu Chen put up nearly identical numbers but was the hard-luck loser (he also threw a CG two days ago!). Chen gave up 1 run on 5 hits over 9 innings (11 K's, 2 BB's).
NY 2B Ping-Chieh Chen drove in the game's lone run (1-4, 3B, RBI). Teammate Fu-Lin Kuo was 1-3. For KP, SS Wei-Chen Wang was 2-3.

Reds Director of International Operations, Jim Stoeckel, in an interview to a UDN reporter, stated that there are 15 players in the tourney who could come and compete in the US.

There were a lot of big names at Chia Chia's wedding banquet including CFC, Kuo-Hui Lo, Chih-Hsien Chiang, Chih-Yuan Chen, Fu-Te Ni, & Chih-Chia Chang.

Kuo may be in contention for the closer's role with the Dodgers.
