Chiang Wins First Pro Game!!

Over in the NPB, Chien-Ming Chiang won impressively in his first NPB career start for the Yomiuri Giants. Chiang, who was recently called up from the Nigun team, pitched 7 innings, giving up 3 hits and 1 run, to go along with 7 K's. The Giants won 3-1 versus the Yokohama BayStars. Chiang is the first Taiwanese pitcher to earn a victory in Japan this year. Prior to going down with an injury, Ying-Chieh Lin was 0-2 for the Rakuten Eagles, while Ming-Chieh Hsu was 0-3 with the Seibu Lions. Great start for the 21 year old! Box

Chieng-Ming Chiang was for me the most impressive pitcher during the World Cup. He is known by his teammates as 'Monkey Boy', I am not suprised that he started his NPB career like this.
