Majors:
Chien-Ming Wang takes the hill tomorrow for the Yankees vs. Toronto starter Ted Lilly (9-9, 4.02 ERA). Wang has won his last 4 consecutive starts and is 1-0 versus Toronto, although the Jays offense has hit well off of Wang - particularly Ed Hinske, who's cracked a few HR's against Wang.
Chin-Hui Tsao Update: Tsao threw a simulated inning of batting practice today. Tsao's prognosis will depend on how well he recovers from today's performance. Read more here.
Minors:
Jacksonville lost 6-3. Hu was 1-5 with a double. Box
Wisconsin lost 8-7. Lo was 2-3 with a walk, 2 runs scored, and swiped his 12th base of the season. Box
Lowell lost 7-0. Yeh made an appearance in the 9th inning, but unfortunatley was knocked around. Yeh gave up 4 hits, 2 runs, with 1 walk and 1 K in his inning of work. Box
The Red Sox won 8-3 in the GCL. Chiang was 0-4 as the DH. Box
Alaska:
The 2006 All ABL Team was named. Despite a solid season by Taiwanese OF Chu, he did not make the cut. Chu finished the season 7th in the league with a .321 batting average and was in the top 10 as a run producer with 21 RBI's. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of Chu on the Taiwanese NT.
Miscellaneous:
Surfing through the web, I found a pretty cool blog with good pictorial and video coverage of Taiwanese major leaguers Chien-Ming Wang and Hong-Chih Kuo. Check it out!
