Miscellaneous News...

Majors:
Chien-Ming Wang's next attempt at win #18 will come this Friday against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He is scheduled to face rookie Jamie Shields. Hopefully Wang can forget about his last game out and bounce back with a win.

Amateur:
More on the current junior NT in Cuba. Interesting read on Team USA - it seems they went heavy on pitching and light on the hitting - I'm sure the wood bats have something to do with their diminished offensive production as well.

Kuo is starting tomorrow :D

anyways i was looking at the rosters for the international competitions at the end of the year.

i cant believe they left Cheng-Min Peng out of the roster.

he's like the best offensive player in the entire CPBL.

I don't know if you caught this, but Baseball America is reporting that Chao Kuan Wu was traded to the Cleveland Indians for future considerations.

Kuo's up 1-0 as we speak!

As for Peng's omission from the NT, that is a huge oversight. Isn't he 100% recovered from his hand injury?

Thanks J, I'll throw up that tidbit on the next post. Good riddance for you guys huh?
