Another MLB Signing?.....& CL Huang Update.........

The Atlanta Braves are rumored to have signed a kid out of Taiwan, their second foray into the island since signing RHP Chen-En Hung in 2006.
Catcher Meng-Hsiu Tsai, who recently turned 18 (DOB: 5/13/1990), has been scouted by Jeremy Chu and Phil Dale. The kid stands 6'0 tall and weighs ~194 pounds. He bats and throws righty. Tsai attends the National Tainan Marine & Fishery Senior Vocational School. He is a good defensive catcher with an average arm but below average hitting technique.

*In other news, last year's junior NT star pitcher - Chih-Lung Huang's current asking price is $300K per agent Jerry Sung.

How good are CL Huang's chances of getting signed by a MLB team? I wonder which teams are checking him out. He is at a bit of a disadvantage since he is only about 5ft 9. He does throw heat though. I believe he can top out at around 94 to 95. He is just as if not more talented than most of of the Taiwanese pitchers signed to a major league deal in the past few years so I think it is just a matter of time before some team picks him up. What do you think terror?

The kid is talented enough to take a stab at playing in the States, but again his signability will come down to what he is offered and if that amount is acceptable to him, his family, and his agent.
