Current CPBL Leaders......

With typhoon Fung-Wong ravaging the island with heavy rain, the game between the Elephants and Lions was rained out.

With that said, let's take a look at some of the league leaders. (Once again, CFC is contending for triple crown honors, while Yu-Cheng Liao is in the top 3 for pitching triple crown categories.)

The Marines won 4-3. SY Wu also started for his team, but earned a ND after lasting only 1.2 innings - giving up 1 run on 2 hits (4 BB's, 1 K). Box

R - The GCL Indians lost 6-1. CH Chen was 1-4. Box

R - The GCL Red Sox won 5-3. CH Huang was 1-4 with a RBI and his 1st SB of the year. Box

A - Asheville won 6-4. SA Kuo earned his 9th win of the year after allowing 4 runs - 3 ER on 7 hits over 5 IP. Box

AAA - Vegas is down 6-2 in the 7th. CL Hu is 1-3 with a RBI. Box

World Junior Championships:
Taiwan beat the Czech Republic 10-0. Box
Tomorrow, the team will attempt to repeat what the junior NT in 2006 did - beat Cuba.

HC Kuo threw a perfect 9th inning, K'ing 2. The Dodgers fell 7-6 to the Giants. Box

Kuo continues to pitch well, pitching 1 scoreless inning for each of last 2 appearances on the mound. His ERA is now lowered to 1.83 for the season.

hey terror, you think Kuo might take over Closer duties with Saito gone?

No, that role has gone to Broxton. Check out the game logs for him. Plus he picked up tonight's save as well.
