Welcome Home Lo!

KH Lo is back in Taiwan; CH Lin and CH Chiang are on their way back today.

Two days after picking up his first career W in the NPB, YH Yang was saddled with a loss after failing to get out of the first inning. Yang allowed 4 ER on 0 hits and was wild - walking 2 and hitting 2 of the 5 batters he faced. He topped out at 89 mph. The Hawks lost 5-2. Box

World Junior Championships:
The junior NT got hammered by the Cuban squad 13-3 in a 10-run rule mercy-shortened 7 inning game. Rong-Hao Hsieh took his 2nd loss of the tourney after allowing 5 runs over 2 IP and the defense committed an uncharacteristic 5 errors in the game.
Taiwan's final game in pool play is against Puerto Rico - win or lose, Taiwan should finish as the #4 seed in their bracket. The bad news is that Taiwan will then face the #1 seed in pool A - the winner of tomorrow's USA vs. South Korea game.

R - The GCL Tigers won 5-3. CT Tang was 1-4 with a triple. Box

R - Completing a game from 7/18, the GCL Indians won 7-3. CH Chen cracked a HR (he's got 2 now) and was 2-3 with a walk and a RBI. More importantly, he gunned down the leadoff hitter on the opposing team. Box

A+ - Kinston won 7-2. SW Tseng started and earned a ND - he threw 4.2 shutout innings. Box
