The US junior NT flexed its muscles and shut down the Taiwanese juniors 6-0 on Monday. The team managed only 2 hits, with pitcher Rong-Hao Hsieh collecting one of the hits. Hsieh threw 3 innings of relief and gave up 2 runs on 3 hits (2K's, 2 BB's). Box

Troubling news for the CPBL: according to team ownership, popular CPBL franchise - the Brother Elephants may be forced to fold next year if its losses exceed 40 million TWD (~ $1.3 million USD) in 2009. The team has continued to report financial losses annually over the past few years.
