Tuesday News...

MLB:
The opening game of the ALDS between the Indians and Yankees will be broadcast on TBS Thursday at 6:30 EST. The game will match the two staff aces & 19 game winners in CMW and CC Sabathia - should be a great one to watch.

NPB:
The Fighters blasted the Eagles 11-3 behind a 21-hit attack. CS Yang collected 3 of those hits as he was 3-5 with a double and 2 RBI's. Ying-Chieh Lin pitched one inning of relief for the Eagles, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. Box

The Tigers lost 5-0. WC Lin was 0-3. Box

CPBL:
Lions 8 - Elephants 2: Nelson Figueroa won his 4th game of the season in impressive fashion, throwing a CG. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits over 9 IP - to go along with 7 K's and 4 walks allowed. Game MVP honors went to Lions slugger Kuo-Ching Kao who was 2-5 with 3 RBI's. Other Lions notables: Tilson Brito was 0-3/Sen Yang was 2-3 with 2 RBI's/Fu-Hao Liu hit his 9th HR of the season and was 2-5 with a RBI. For the Elephants, Chia-Chia and CYC were a combined 0-7.

I'll be taking a much needed break for a few days, so in the mean time feel free to post updates in the comments section.

the timing of the world cup and asian series puts the NT in a bit of a predicament.

If La new goes, then NT loses a catcher and two fielders.

if Lions go, then NT loses kao.
