its about time Chen hit a homer. Did you notice how bad Hu is slumping right now? I think it must be something with his batting mechanics because it is not because he is striking out that much. Most of the time he just grounds out. Anyway, good news is that Kuo picked up ANOTHER win today pitching in relief of Korean hurler Chan Ho Park. Park only pitched 4 innings so he wasnt eligible for the W. Kuo came in and shut out the angels for 4 innings of 3 hit, no run, no walk ball. He also fanned 4 hitters and lowered his ERA to 2.40. Hu was 0-3 with a walk, a strikeout, and a run scored. In other Asian baseball news, DICE-K got the Win today after 6.2 innings of 2 run ball coming off a homer in the late 6th off a hanging slider. Hopefully, the Yanks will be able to give some run support to Wang tomorrow after he got shafted with the ND after pitching 7 strong innings of 1 run ball.

Some quotes from Torre and catcher Russel Martin on Kuo from todays game
----------------------------

Park allowed two runs, one earned, on three hits and two walks over four innings, and he went deep enough to bridge the gap to Hong-Chih Kuo, who came on in relief and tossed four scoreless frames. Takashi Saito allowed a run in the ninth.

"That is the second time he's done that. He came on and he dominated," manager Joe Torre said of Kuo (3-1). "

Martin said Park's command was sharp, but he was more effusive in his praise of Kuo, who gave up three hits, struck out four and did not walk a batter to pick up the win.

"Kuo comes out of the bullpen throwing 95 [mph] and hitting his spots," Martin said. "He gets himself in trouble, but when he's like that, he is a dominating pitcher."

I wonder what Russell Martin meant when he said "He gets himself in trouble"
