MILB:
SW Tseng was demoted from AA to A+ on the 8th. He'll be back in Kinston, where he played last year.

A - Greenville lost 6-1. CH Lin extended his hitting streak as he was 1-4 with 2 more SB's. Box

A+ - Lancaster got lambasted 25-1! CH Chiang accounted for the lone run with his 3rd HR of the year. He was 1-4 with a RBI. Box

A+ - Kinston won 3-1. SW Tseng picked up a save in his return to A+ ball. Tseng allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 IP - while K'ing 6. Box

A+ - High Desert is up 10-4 in the 9th. KH Lo is 1-3 with a triple, a RBI, and his 5th SB of the year. Box

*CH Tsao has been placed on the DL with a sore elbow.



MLB:
The Dodgers are losing 5-0 in the 9th. CL Hu has one of the team's 3 total hits. He's 1-3. Box


CPBL:
Elephants 2 - Whales 0: Elephants SP Yu-Cheng Liao won his 5th game of the year in dominating fashion against the Whales. Liao, now 5-1, threw 8 shutout innings, allowing only 5 hits, while K'ing 10 and walking 2. YC was selected the game MVP. He outpitched Whales starter Yu-Chieh Shen who also threw well. Shen, falling to 2-4 on the year, allowed 2 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits in 6.2 IP (6K's, 1BB).
Offensively for the Elephants: LF CYC was 1-4 with a RBI/ C Yi-Feng Kuo was 2-3 with a RBI.
Whales DH Carlos Villalobos managed to collect 2 of his team's 5 hits as he was 2-4 with a double.

Lions 7 - Bears 6: In a showdown between the top two teams in the league, the Lions offense would spoil the starting debut of Bears starter Chih-Chia Chang. Chang allowed 7 runs (all earned) on 8 hits in 2.2 IP (2K's, 1BB) to take the L. Earning the W for the Lions was Lou Pote, who is now 6-0 on the season. LP allowed 6 runs on 7 hits in 5 IP (4K's, 5BB's).
Game MVP honors went to Lions C CK Kao. Kao hit his 1st HR of the season (off of CC Chang) and was 3-5 with 4 RBI's. Other Lions at the plate: 2B Sen Yang was 2-4 with a double and 2 RBI's/ 3B Tilson Brito was 2-4 with a double/ 1B KC Kao was 1-5/ DH Lien-Hung Chen was 0-3/ CF Sung-Hsien Yang was 1-3 with a RBI.
Hitting his 5th HR of the year was Bears CF Long-Yi Huang. Huang hit a 3-run shot in the 2nd inning to even the score at 4 all. He was 2-5 with 4 RBI's. Other Bears of note: SS Chih-Sheng Lin was 1-4/ LF CFC was 1-5/ DH Gary Burnham was 0-5/ C Feng-Min Chen was 1-2 with a double/ 2B Chin-De Yu was 2-3 with 2 RBI's.


NPB:
WY Chen picked up a loss after allowing 1 run on 2 hits in the 8th inning against the Giants. The Dragons lost 5-4. Box

The Hawks beat the Fighters 1-0. CS Yang was 2-3, collecting half of his team's 4 hits. Box
