Toot Toot's No-No.....

CPBL:

Lions 7 - Whales 0:
WP - Wei-Lun Pan (7-1, 9 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 9 K's, 0 BB's) - first career no-hitter for Pan, 6th in CPBL history (the last no-no was back in May of 1999!). Pan was an error away from a perfect game - easy pick for game MVP.

R - The GCL Tigers lost 10-2. CT Tang was 1-4. Box

R - The Reds beat the Red Sox 7-3 in the GCL. YW Kuo was 1-4 with a BB and a RBI. CC Chen was 0-3 with a BB. WY Lin started, earning a ND - giving up 3 runs on 7 hits over 5 IP. Box

A - Asheville won 9-8 in 10. SA Kuo earned a ND after giving up 7 runs on 7 hits (2 HR's) in 6 IP. Box

A - Greenville lost 14-0. CH Lin was 1-3. Box

ABL:
The Oilers won 5-4 on Wednesday over the NTSU. Ying-Shan Wang started, giving up 1 run over 4 IP. NTSU player Chia-Hang Lee was signed by the Oilers for the remainder of the season.

Where did Wei-Lun Pan get the nickname "Toot Toot"?

Oh, and the Taipei Times had his nickname written "Du Du." So was "Toot Toot" a translation of that to English?

This is a bit off topic, so if you don't know, don't put yourself out looking it up. Just curious.

Not really sure how he was bestowed that nickname. I've seen his nickname spelled both ways - Toot Toot and Du Du.
