Wang Wins # 5!

Well, as expected, Wang won his 5th game of the season against the hapless K.C. Royals. Granted the Royals won last night at the Yanks, but tonight, the Yanks offense was something to behold. The Yanks supported Wang with 15 runs on 15 hits, while Wang gave up 4 runs - all earned in 7.0 innings of work. Wang did manage to K 3 hitters.
At this rate, barring no injuries and assuming Wang can hold on to his spot in the rotation, I'll predict that Wang wins 16 games this season.

He still needs to work on his consistency. He gives up many more hits than someone his caliber should, and I have yet to see him put together good showings against tough teams. But I'm proud man! I'm proud of our boy WCM and I really hope he makes it in the big league.

I think when Wang's mechanics start to go awry, that's when you start to see him get hit hard. Otherwise you gotta love Wang's stuff - nasty sinker - a fastball that ranges between 90-95 mph. With that said, Manny Ramirez and Big Papi have held the upper hand on Wang every time they face off. Wang needs to develop that key secondary out-pitch. If Wang can improve upon his slider or changeup, watch out!
